Generally my kids love fruit but it isn’t always their first choice when they are looking for a snack. When aren’t they looking for a snack? Cheese-sticks and cookies are always top on the list. A couple of weeks ago I decided that I needed to have a melon baller in my kitchen tool-kit and picked one up. What fun it was to make little balls of fruit. The kids gobbled down an entire cantaloupe in one sitting. Next up was a watermelon and that was devoured in an afternoon. Both kids insisted on making their own melon balls but tired of it fairly quickly in favor of just eating the fruit.  Any ideas on what other fruit would be good as little balls? Maybe veggies too.
