This is a repeat of a recipe that posted a while ago but it has had encore appearances at several parties so it is good enough to share again. This time I’m including photos since last time I was too caught up in preparing for company to take out the camera. If you’ve got a big enough pitcher I highly recommend doubling this recipe.

Simple Sangria

(adapted from Mix Bake Stir)

  • 3 oranges, 2 for juice, 1 halved and thinly sliced crosswise
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
  • 1 bottle red wine, chilled (I used a Cabernet Sauvignon, but any type of red wine will do)
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups club soda

In a large pitcher combined the juice of the two oranges, sugar, and Grand Marnier. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the wine, orange and lime slices and the club soda. Stir and serve over ice.
